Privacy Notice

Last updated: March 2025

This Privacy Notice explains how Yield Ping (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you visit our website or use our early-access waitlist and alert services (the “Services”). We are committed to keeping things simple, transparent, and respectful of your privacy.

Summary: We primarily collect your email address and basic technical information so we can operate Yield Ping, improve it, and send you yield-related alerts and updates you ask for. We do not ask for your brokerage logins or banking passwords.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information we need to provide and improve Yield Ping:

  • Contact information: such as your email address when you join the waitlist, request early access, or subscribe to alerts or updates.
  • Yield & alert preferences (future features): such as tickers you follow, yield thresholds, or alert types you configure inside Yield Ping.
  • Usage data: basic information about how you interact with our site (pages visited, approximate location based on IP, device/browser type). This may come from analytics tools or server logs.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and similar information automatically sent by your device when you visit our website.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive categories of personal data (such as health, political opinions, etc.). We also do not knowingly collect data from children (see Section 10).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To provide the Services: including creating and managing your waitlist entry or account, sending yield-related alerts (when that feature is enabled), and delivering important service emails.
  • To communicate with you: for example, to send onboarding messages, early access invitations, product updates, and responses to your questions or support requests.
  • To improve Yield Ping: such as analyzing how people use the website and Services so we can refine features, design, performance, and reliability.
  • For safety, security, and legal reasons: including detecting and preventing fraud, abuse, or technical issues, and complying with applicable laws and regulations.

3. Cookies and Analytics

Like most modern websites, Yield Ping may use cookies and similar technologies to understand how visitors use the site and to improve the experience.

Depending on the tools we enable, this may include:

  • Essential cookies: needed for basic website functionality and security.
  • Analytics cookies or scripts: used to measure traffic and understand which pages or features are used most. These may be provided by third-party services (e.g., analytics platforms).

You can usually control cookies through your browser settings. If we deploy additional cookies or tracking tools in the future, we’ll update this Notice and, where required, seek your consent.

4. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our legal bases for processing your personal data may include:

  • Consent: for example, when you voluntarily provide your email address to join the waitlist or subscribe to alerts.
  • Legitimate interests: such as improving our Services, maintaining security, and communicating about relevant updates, where these interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.
  • Legal obligations: when we need to retain or disclose information to comply with applicable laws.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following limited situations:

  • Service providers: with trusted third-party vendors who help us operate Yield Ping, such as email delivery services, analytics providers, or cloud hosting. They only process data on our behalf and according to our instructions.
  • Legal and safety: if required by law, or when we believe it’s reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of Yield Ping, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or similar transaction, your information may be transferred as part of that deal, subject to appropriate protections.

We do not share your information for unrelated third-party advertising.

6. Data Retention

We keep your information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

For example:

  • Your email address may be kept while your waitlist or alert subscription is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to maintain accurate records.
  • Server logs and analytics data may be stored for a limited time to help us diagnose issues and improve performance.

When data is no longer needed, we will take steps to delete, anonymize, or safely store it according to applicable rules.

7. How We Protect Your Information

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. This may include encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and secure hosting practices.

However, no online service can guarantee absolute security. You use the Service and provide information at your own risk.

8. International Data Transfers

Yield Ping may be operated from the United States and other locations. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your information may be processed in countries that may have different data protection laws than your home country.

Where required, we will take steps to ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers, consistent with applicable law.

9. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including:

  • Access: to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: to ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Deletion: to request that we delete some or all of your personal information.
  • Restriction or objection: to request that we limit how we use your information, or to object to certain uses.
  • Data portability: to request a copy of your data in a portable format where applicable.
  • Withdraw consent: when processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time (for example, by unsubscribing from emails).

To exercise these rights, you can contact us using the details in Section 12. We may need to verify your identity before responding to your request.

10. Children’s Privacy

Yield Ping is designed for adults and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

11. Changes to This Privacy Notice

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time to reflect new features, legal requirements, or other changes. When we make material updates, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.

We encourage you to review this Notice periodically so you stay informed about how we handle your information.
